  18. What's New in BBSee since Version 2.3
  19.  
  20. 1. BBSee menuing has been enhanced to allow display of previously
  21.    'hidden' commands in many windows.  These commands will replace the
  22.    main menu on the top of the screen when available.  Most of the
  23.    time these commands are 'mousable' except in the file viewer, where
  24.    mouse motions control movement through the file.
  25.  
  26. 2. Added an option to allow ASCII filelists to be created as up and
  27.    download formats.  This option could be of benefit to users of the
  28.    TERMINATE program.
  29.  
  30. 3. Added Volume description information to the volume report, when BBSee
  31.    info is selected for output.

  34. What's New in BBSee since Version 2.2
  35.  
  36. 1. File description imports and edits now can be mixed-case (upper and
  37.    lower).  No conversion of the existing database is necessary.
  38.  
  39. 2. New Scan option to perform regular expression searching (including *
  40.    ? and [..]) on catalog and archive file searches.  This option
  41.    provides better access to file extensions and filenames.

  43. 3. Easier access to eXtract, View and Copy in the View Catalog and Show

  46. 4. BBSee Shell programs can be configured to be passed the current
  47.    catalog file name which provides for additional 'file' viewer

  76. What's New in BBSee since Version 2.0
  77.  
  78. 1. New Catalog Reports
  79.  
  80.    New catalog reports are available under the Make Catalog Report
  81.    option.  These are:
  82.  
  83.    a) Multi-Column report.  This report produces fast catalog reports,
  84.       in from one to nine columns, designed to get the most out of
  85.       paper.  Five columns will fit in 132 columns, if you compress your
  86.       print.
  87.  
  88.    b) Extension report.  This report produces catalog reports sorted in
  89.       extension order.  The extension is separated from the filename for
  90.       easier viewing.
  91.  
  92.    c) Date report.  This report produces catalog reports sorted in
  93.       ascending or descending order by file date.
  94.  
  95.    d) Duplicate report (by Volume).  Another catalog duplicate report
  96.       has been added which will report sorted by disk volume, to make it
  97.       easier clean-up disks.
  98.  
  99.    Because of option changes resulting from the above enhancements, the
  100.    window to change catalog report features has been move under the
  101.    Make Catalog Report sub-window.  It is no longer necessary to access
  102.    it with <Ctrl-R>.

  104. 2. Expanded 4DOS description limit.
  105.  
  106.    Increased BBSee's capability to handle new extended length 4DOS
  107.    descriptions, on input and output.  Output length is configured in
  108.    BBSetup - Miscellaneous.
  109.  
  110. 3. Default PCBoard conferences.
  111.  
  112.    Modified BBSetup/BBSee to allow each PCBoard conference to have a
  113.    different default conference number if required.  This is in addition
  114.    to the 15 other conferences supported.
  115.  
  116. 4. Added support for Boyan Wildcat macros.
  117.  
  118.    Ronald Cronewett's Boyan macro's to access Wildcat BBS's can be used
  119.    for uploading and downloading.  To configure this, modify the BBS
  120.    type in BBSetup from AUT to WC3 for the appropriate BBS's.  Lee
  121.    Breeden's macros will continue to work for the PCB type.

  123. 5. Fill bugs identified.
  124.  
  125.    There were bugs related to the Fill function, which I introduced
  126.    after I first put this feature into beta in September.  I had made
  127.    changes to some variable names in the program and forgot to correct
  128.    some condition tests. Although Fill itself was working, some of the
  129.    options did not perform as indicated, (my particular configuration
  130.    worked fine).  Sorry for any confusion.
